Tales of Tuscany: the Bufferia, a breath of glass that tells a story.
Light as a breath, a ‘buffo’, the Tuscan word that describes mouth-blown glass, a centerpiece on tables where time finds space to leisurely linger.
Bufferia Toscana was born to revive a tradition of gestures and manual craftsmanship: those of the master glassmakers who produced glasses, bottles, and flasks, each one meticulously mouth-blown.
We created this exclusive collection to bring back the manufacturing history of the local community and the craftsmanship of the master glassmakers.
Ours is a tribute to all those who created, lived, and passed down that history, through those objects that today are revived in a contemporary and refined form. A tradition that renews itself while maintaining its authenticity, bringing the beauty of hand-blown glass into today’s homes.
Unique like the artisans who create them, the objects of Bufferia Toscana are born from the blowing techniques of master glassmakers. Together with them, we have recovered the original period molds from our workshop to develop new design ideas and new products.
Not just white or green, the typical color of Empoli furnaces: we offer simple, cheerful, and vibrant colors. Bufferia Toscana is tradition but also creativity, especially on the table.
